I went to get my already blonde highlights and I left a brunette. And then I was gaslighted by my hairstylist Juliana into believing that my brunette hair color was blonde. My experience at your salon has been terrible, and I am very disappointed in the service, experience, and result I received. I hope you will take this note seriously and take the necessary steps to improve the service provided by your salon.

I was just reading some of the reviews listed for Vito Mazza and just wanted to add my two cents. (Can you tell I’m on the older side?) I have been coming here for 20+ years, have gone through a few stylists, but ALWAYS had a great experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone, in this place are gracious people! Respectful, kind, and very welcoming! I can’t understand where anyone could get the idea anyone here is rude??? Sometimes during peak times they are very busy and cannot spend the time chatting, but no one has ever been rude! Years ago I came in for a color and cut and Vanessa saw I was very down in the dumps that day. She got one of the women to give me a complimentary massage to make me feel better! I remember when Gel used to greet everyone with her bubbly way! So many wonderful memories! So many fabulous experiences! All the stylists are top notch! Anyway, thank you Vito for starting this client-oriented salon for us! P.S. please change those god-awful sinks. 😉

I have been a customer of Vito Mazza for over 6 years and have gone through numerous stylists (all wonderful in their own ways), but Julianna has gone absolutely above and beyond for my family and I! Coming from a Hispanic background, it is so difficult to find someone in the central NJ area who understands and has experience with my natural hair. Julianna knows exactly what she is doing and has the ability to make you feel comfortable almost immediately after sitting in her chair. From quarantine box-dye disasters to at-home haircuts, Julianna has been there with us every step of the way (over the phone and in-person) and all of the women in my family have grown to love and trust her like our own! Below are some pictures of one of my most recent appointments post-quarantine (corrective color, highlight touch-up, cut) and she did an amazing job! She is incredibly attentive, hard-working, and won't let you leave until you are completely satisfied. 10 out of 10 recommend Julianna - you won't regret it!

Update: after constantly being told I need another session to get the hair I wanted, I came to this salon for my second session. At this point I’ve been so embarrassed of my hair and constantly telling people “don’t worry I’m gonna get it fixed” I come in and Lisa is helping me today. She yells at me saying she’s not gonna do anything to fix the color because no matter what I wouldn’t be happy and I should go back to the salon I use to go to. I’ve been getting my hair colored for 7 years now…if you do my hair right I’ll be happy… She accused me of using box dye…ma’am I was here 2 weeks ago, this is the hair YOUR hairstyle colored. I had to beg her to atleast fix the very front of my hair so I can atleast stop looking crazy and look normal. Now I asked for low lights in my hair…again REFUSED to do it. She said the most she could do today was a “glaze”…well now because of vito Mazda I have honey color bangs, blonde in the back and brown hair on the side. Glad to share pictures once I get in front of a mirror. Everyone who “helped” me during this process is so lucky I was raised with manners and taught not to be rude to service people because the way I was talked to today was completed unacceptable. If you want to waste time and money and for getting treated very unprofessionally when asking for something you want only to get the complete opposite of what you want…come on down to Vito Mazza.

I was recommended to Julianna by one of my friends, visited Vito Mazza for 1st time and I loved how Julianna transformed my hair. Her work was super fast and yet she personally also connected with me so well. She is the best and I loved how my hair turned out. I was also suggested the best deal that I could get that day, so happy and definitely this is going to be my one stop shop for any grooming services or hair treatments.
